Child friendly school

Project description:

TARGET GROUP: teacher, psychological – pedagogical service and school administration in 10 primary schools

Child Friendly School aims to create a school that:

• promotes peace, freedom, tolerance, dignity, equality and solidarity, physical and
  mental health and wellbeing;
• builds learning environment that enables acquiring skills and knowledge that the children
  would need in their everyday life, and
• encourages children to participate in the decision making process for decisions that are
  affecting their life in the school and in the community.

Through enhancement of the school capacities by permanent education and support supervisions, the project activities aim towards developing these 6 dimensions:

1. INCLUSIVNES: promotes inclusion of all children, regardless of their background and capabilities
2. EFFECTIVNES: provides effective and relevant learning, directed to the needs odf the children
3. HEALT, SAFETY AND PROTECTION: provides conditions for appropriate social, emotional and physical development of the children.
4. GENDER SESNITIVITY: nourishes gender equality and respects the needs of the both genders
5. PARTICIPATION: provides participation of the pupils, the parents and the community in the school life
6. CHILDRENS RIGHTS AND MULTICULURALISM: promotes and protects the children’s rights and prepares them for living in a multicultural society.
